Specifically,\nthis paper attempts to focus on the needs of developing countries in the\ncontext of climate finance and issues of GCF readiness. In this paper, four\ngaps between current readiness programs and recipient expectations are\nidentified: 1) gap in the capacity for the direct approach, 2) gap in readiness\nfor the private sector, 3) gap in experiences in the development field, and 4)\ngap in the absorptive capacity of funds by the recipient. Furthermore, this\npaper also identified the uniqueness of the fiduciary standards of GCF by\ncomparing with those of other climate funds.
